Getting there

After yesterdays sporadic attempts to create a blog and decide what sort of approach to take I have been having a good look around some of the recommended sites and I have decided that out and out honesty is the best policy. And not to try to be too clever because that will just annoy people.

So, where to start?

I am a 26 year old girl living, at the moment, on a small island. This has many pros and cons but I'll talk about that later.

I live with my boyfriend, actually 'fiance' but that is such a farty horrible word I can't bring myself to say it out loud. Not that I'm against marrying him, I said yes for goodness sake, but introducing him as that makes me sound like I'm full of it. I might as well flash my engagement ring in your face. We're getting married next Summer, on an even smaller island.

I also live with Molly, she is a very small black cat. She loves tuna, mackeral, chicken and cream. And any small insects that get in her way. And the occasional sparrow, though that was only once and I think it was dead already as I don't think she has it in her to kill something half her size.

I work, full time, as an estate agent, which can be a really interesting and fun job, and at other times very frustrating. My boyfriend Nick is a journalist over here.

I'm at work at the moment. There's not much going on. I sometimes get days like this where no one wants to view a house so I just sit twiddling my thumbs, clicking my clicky shoulder and internet surfing. I'm sure most people get days like that. I'm going to a big house later on though. At lunchtime. It's on the market for £695,000. That is a lot of money. I think I'll go early and turn all the lights on, I'm sure they can afford the electric bill. The good news is that I live close by so I can go home for lunch after.

Well for my first proper post I hope that was OK. I thought it best to get the boring stuff out of the way, the whos and the whats.
