Made one round of mince pies at the weekend. Took the second batch of pastry out of the fridge and I realised it was a bit too cold so left in on the kitchen counter for a few minutes. That was all the time it took for Molly to smell the pastry and hop up onto the counter and sink her feline teeth into it. Bah.
So I have been out buying more flour and butter this afternoon. I also met a girl on a viewing who used to be my sisters best friend at Primary school and that was very cool, because I'm like, about a foot taller than her now, ha ha, and anyway she was lovely. Just not as tall as I remembered her. She has babies and all sorts as well.
We had a weird old night on Friday. Lets just say we had to have several people around for work related reasons. Not my work, you understand, as that would have actually been quite nice. This wasn't. Anyway one of the persons who came, and they shall remain un named, was a bit whiffy and when they left the sofa smelt of BO. How lovely. So I took it upon myself to take off ALL the sofa covers and bunged the whole lot in the wash. Hence, my entire Sunday was spent ironing bastard sofa covers. Nick installed a heated towel rail and an electric fan heater in the downstairs shower room, as he is a DIY genius.
Also, as a result of Friday night, I discovered the delights of Lambrusco! Having never tasted this I imagined something quite vile and sickly, as it is such a chav drink. But it tasted just like shloer, which is a favourite of mine, so I am now officially a Lambrusco drinking chav. I have decided not to even try babycham, as I'm bound to love it.
And I'm going out tonight to a lovely pub to have a few drinks with Chris & Sonia, as we missed Chris's burthday meal yesterday. Its a really Christmassy pub so yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
