Came home last night after an hour or so pounding away at the gym to find my husband had a fantastic surprise for me. The first three episodes of Lost Season 3! As most of my readers know, I am addicted to this television show almost to the point of a religious cult. My disappointment knew no bounds 2 weeks ago when I thought I had the first episode only to find it did not play on our DVD player. The horror! The complete disappointment! So this made it all the more exciting to have the first three which we knew would work.
So after a hurriedly cooked pizza and a glass or two of wine we sat down to enjoy it. 5 minutes in and the phone goes, my Dad's partner with an annoyingly important conversation about stuff I cannot mention here. But it involved me then having to go into the internet to look something up for her and call her back. All the time with the telly on PAUSE and Nick pulling faces at me in his angst.
After all that disruption and disappointment we finally sat down and watched the first 2 episodes. We have saved the third, namely because my husband fell asleep. They were mostly about the Others and what happens to Jack, Kate & Sawyer after they are captured. There are quite a few scenes shot from the Others point of view but you are still left guessing, of course. But they are such meanies! I just want Sayid to come and kick all their asses whilst riding a polar bear and surrounded by evil black fog which he can somehow mind-control. I think I might be waiting in vain for that to happen.
This evening I have a party to go to!! And, also, I have to think about making a card for our friends wedding this afternoon. I have decided something home made would be appropriate and I am going to head to a craft shop to buy some card and sequins. I think sparkly might be the way to go, seeing as its a wedding and all.
I realise I am coming across as come kind of big geek/restaurant critic (see last post) and apologies for this.
I burnt my hand last night trying to shove pizza into the hot oven without oven gloves on, and weirdly, Nick also burnt his shoulder yesterday morning on our evil heated towel rail. So we are both suffering. Him a little more so than me.
